Request for escalation — temporary routing of one message to deleted Comcast email address
Hello,
I’m looking for help with an unusual but very specific problem, and I would appreciate having this escalated to someone familiar with Comcast’s email platform rather than ordinary account troubleshooting.
I am a current Xfinity internet customer and have been a Comcast/Xfinity customer in one form or another for more than 20 years, including cable, internet, and email service.
I previously had a Comcast email address that has since been permanently deleted. Comcast Support has already confirmed to me that the mailbox no longer exists and cannot be restored or reissued through normal customer-service channels.
I am not asking to recover old email, restore the mailbox contents, or permanently reactivate the address.
The problem is that a long-standing account I own with another company still sends its login-verification code exclusively to that former Comcast address. I remain authenticated in that account and can establish ownership, but the other company will not change the email address without first sending a verification code to the old Comcast mailbox.
What I am asking is much narrower:
Is there any Comcast email-security, engineering, or platform team capable of temporarily accepting mail addressed to that exact former Comcast address and forwarding or relaying one new verification message to a current email address that I control?
I would be willing to complete whatever identity verification Comcast requires. I do not need access to the old mailbox or any historical messages.
If temporary forwarding or routing is not possible under any circumstances, I would appreciate confirmation from someone familiar with the underlying email system rather than simply being told that the mailbox cannot be reissued, since those are slightly different questions.
If there is an internal team such as Customer Security Assurance or an email-platform escalation group that can review this, please forward my request to them.
Thank you for taking the time to look at this unusual situation.
Edward

Hey @user_ozmq9n, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. Please accept my most sincere apology for the experience you have encountered, but once the Comcast Email has been deactivated, we do not have any tools in place to restore or reactivate an email. In fact, we are transitioning all active and current emails over to Yahoo Mail via our 'Upgrade your comcast.net email experience to Yahoo Mail'. I apologize, but we will not be able to restore your email, even on a temporary basis. You can verify the status of your email by visiting our 'View your Xfinity Email account status' support page.
