Primary Account User

Hello, I’m unable to log into HBO Max any longer as I’m getting the message I’m not using my primary Xfinity account. I did the search by address and I can see the primary Xfinity account but it’s not linked to any email and I have no way to access it. I’m trying to log into it so I can change my regular user account to the primary.

Hi there @user_fb1ffg Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us on this forum. I do apologize for the incontinence you are experiencing. To resolve the HBO Max "primary Xfinity account" error, you must use the primary Xfinity ID, as secondary accounts cannot authorize the service. Since your primary account lacks a linked email, use Xfinity’s lookup tool (using SSN or phone number) to identify the username, then reset its password to gain access to MAX.-Richard

There’s no way for me to reset the password online for the primary account since there is no email or phone number linked to that user name.
