While we cannot directly prevent your Autopay from going through on the due date, if this is a special circumstance, you do have some options.
The first option is to turn off the Autopay temporarily via your Xfinity App or on the web site under the billing section. Make your payment on 5/1, then turn Autopay back on. If 5/1 happens to be before your next statement is due to generate, you won't even incur a late fee.
You can also ask the Xfinity Assistant to request a payment arrangement.
