Moving Out, Want my own Account to Pay for my Own Internet

My xfinity ID (or email address) is registered under one account (my parent's account) as a "Viewer". I want to retain my email address and all its respective data, but be separate from their account and have it under my own. I'm trying to purchase internet for my place, but I'm unable to because my email address and phone number are still associated with their account. Is there any way to detach from their plan and create my own while keeping my email address?

Hello there, user_djk7n3! Thanks fore reaching out to us here on the community forum! You can find details on how to unlink an account from your XFINITY ID here : https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/switching-between-multiple-accounts

Check out that link and let us know how it goes. Thanks!

Hi, this is what I get when I click that link. I am not the primary account holder so I noticed I don't have some certain permissions. Do I need the primary account holder to go through these steps or am I able to myself as a secondary account holder with just "Viewer" permissions?

Soccernate1, is that what happens when you click the link in my previous response or something else? The link I provided is a public support article, so it does not require any permissions at all.

Sorry I guess directly clicking the link didn't work, I had to copy and paste it to see its contents.
