lost all comcast email access on outlook and apple. Says the imap.comcast.net server keeps dropping

Lost comcast email (2 accounts)  access on iphone and Windows 365 outlook. On both phone and computer I get either "password incorrect" popup on ipthone or Internet Mail popup window in Outlook that will not go away, or says it cannot reach the imap.comcast.net server. Have deleted and attempted to add my comcast accounts  Microsoft 365 Outlook but it will not hold. And iphone/Apple mail says either account name is wrong, password is wrong, the address is blackballed or that comcast email is not available. I changed the server setting from mail.comcast.net to imap.comcast.net, have restarted my cable modem and wi fi router. It may be the wi-fi router but I am getting my gmail emails on both iphone and outlook so it must be a comcast.net issue. Have been trying to fix for 6 hrs but getting nowhere

user_qam5jv Thank you for letting us know you are having issues with your emails coming through on your alternate email platforms. I would be more than happy to help look into this for you. To be sure, are you able to access your email directly on the Xfinity home page

@XfinityAmandaB same issue - yes I can access it fine via web. if I try to access via my Apple Mail it Fails despite all of the credentials and information being correct. I’ve already tried deleting the Mail account and adding it again.

Thanks for posting your concern on our Xfinity Community forums @user_4ix6cl, we're here to help!

You state you have the same problem.  Can you give us additional details, such as if you've made the switch to yahoo, and what app you are trying to access it through?  Are you able to access it directly via the Xfinity.com website?

Thanks for that additional information @user_4ix6cl.  Could I please get you to review the following and verify that you have third party access turned on?

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/third-party-email-access

If it is not turned on it may not allow you to use external apps, if it is turned on let us know and we would be happy continue to work to support your concern! 😀
