help desk

Hello,

I am in need of closing down one of my email accounts, due to identity theft. I have tried to ask for help through the AI type chat, however it says to call 800-934-6489. I am not able to use this function as I do not have a paid account service anymore, when I moved, you guys are not in this town, I only have 2 email accounts. Can I talk to someone regarding my situation ?

The police dept. Srgt. stated I should change my phone number, email address, bank accounts and of course the bank card. I have completed all BUT the email. Since I have two comcast.net accounts I
was told by the AI chat that you guys could help me transfer all the files over to the remaining email, then we could close the compromised email.

Thank you

Hello, @user_pwo4kv thank you for taking time to create a post here over Xfinity Forums. I completely understand wanting to look at getting the compromised email addressed, but wanted to help get the proper expectations set up that if there isn't an active account our options are very limited.

Since you're unable to get assistance via the phone or Xfinity Assistant since there isn't an open account. Have you by change visited this site and attempted to report an issue to the Customer Security Assurance team: https://spa.xfinity.com/help > Identity Theft > scroll down and select Report an issue?

No I have not tried that. As a matter of fact, I did not even know about it as an option. Thank you for your help, I will try that .
