Firefox still gets the 400 Bad Request Error

This has been going on since last year. Is Xfinity ever going to fix the problem? I can't log in consistently on the main website, or even this forum site, using Firefox. I get this error: 400 Bad Request: Request Header Or Cookie Too Large. Every once in a while, it doesn't happen, but most of the time, I have to use a different browser, like I am now. This is using the most current version of Firefox without ad blockers. Why can't this be fixed?

Hey there, @sbw2, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding the issue with Firefox. We definitely want to help get to bottom of these issues! Are you only having issues with Xfinity websites or with other websites too?

@XfinityJeniece Just Xfinity. If it included others, I wouldn't be contacting Xfinity to solve that problem.

Note: There are several other threads, within the past year, where people are having the same problem, but they are all closed, so I ahd to create another one.

Thanks for confirming, @sbw2! Have you tried accessing through incognito on Firefox to see if that helps? Also, have you tried clearing your cache and cookies to see if that helps with the error?

@XfinityJeniece That doesn't always work, but this time it did. I also cleared the cookies and cache again (and a hard refresh of the tab), which also doesn't always work, and now I can log in with Firefox in a regular tab again too. So either the problem was within a cookie this time, or whatever gets broken on your end, resolved again, like it does some of time, when not even clearing cookies or incognito will work. I wish the problem just didn't keep happening.

I appreciate those details @sbw2 and I know those ongoing issues would be frustrating especially as I use the Xfinity website for all of my account needs. I am glad that worked for you this time. Do you know when clearing cache and cookies doesn't work are you getting the same exact error message or is the error different?

I am also having this issue. Clearing the Cache does not resolve the problem.

Hello Marty,

Why would I want to use private browsing mode? That's like using incognito mode all the time in Chrome. That doesn't resolve the issue.

fireflight This is something that can help from time to time, but isn't something we expect to be needed all of the time. Just seeing if it helps with getting access for now.

FWIW, I use FF 133.0.3 (64-bit) on a Win10 machine with no problems whatsoever.
