Error message

I keep getting the message on my iPad :  “Password incorrect. Enter the password for the IMAP account “Comcast”.  Despite using the correct password (I used it to sign in here) , it continues.  What do you recommend?

Good morning @user_jrfg6b, and thanks for posting your question to the Xfinity forums, I hope this message finds you well. I am sorry to hear about the issue you are having with the email on your iPad, but you have come to the right place for help. Have you tried going into the settings for the email account on the iPad and reentering the password? If you have tried that, and it did not work you can also remove the account from the iPad, and then add it back on, that will usually fix a lot of these types of issues.

Please walk me through that….where do I find the settings for the email account?  Is it on xfinity or …….?  Thanks.

@user_jrfg6b On the iPad if you go to settings > apps > mail > mail accounts > you should see Comcast listed. Then you select that and go to account settings. Here you will see a spot for a password for the incoming mail server, and you can edit that. For the outgoing in that same section you click SMTP > Primary server and there is another section for a password.
