Deleting Second Email Account Here

I've been with Xfinity since 2008 and have had a comcast email account since, but a few years ago (I dunno, mid 2010's ???) Xfinity insisted I provide them with a second email address (for reasons I don't recall now).  I did, and now I want to get rid of that second email account but for some reason, in Xfinity's wisdom, they tied my Peacock account with this second email address instead of my original comcast email address.

Now I no longer want that second email account (they have changed EVERYTHING and I'm not interested in keeping the account) but am afraid if I just go there and delete it without also doing something here I may lose my access to Peacock, since I get Peacock through Xfinity through their diamond customer perks.  I want to delete that account, but I do NOT want to lose my access to Peacock, which I already "lost" for years because originally I kept trying to connect the two (Peacock/Xfinity) with my original comcast email.  I then discovered that for whatever reason, when Xfinity made those Peacock changes a few years ago they had tied it to the second email account.  Once I finally learned that, I was able to get Peacock on my other devices finally.  I am now afraid that if I just delete that other email account that I will be in Peacock limbo again.

Is there anything I can do?

Sorry... I should add that I tried doing this through the Xfinity assistant, but I couldn't see how to do it.  It seemed to only offer the option to CHANGE that second email account rather than DELETE it. Just thought I should mention that.

Hello, @OldeFatGuy. I want to start off by thanking you for your loyalty throughout these years. You're right, you'll definitely lose access to Peacock if you delete this second email. I recommend you switch your email to your primary before you proceed with deleting that second email. Please visit this link to learn how to update your account with a different email https://www.peacocktv.com/help/article/how-do-i-update-my-email-address.

@XfinityRaul Thank you for that link.  I will look into it to see if I can make Peacock tied to my Comcast email instead of my Yahoo one (which I want to delete).  However, I still can't see how to delete that email here at Xfinity.  Will I lose access to everything here if just go to Yahoo and delete that account?  (In case you ask, I do NOT have any other email accounts, nor do I want any.)

@OldeFatGuy You'll still have access here after switching the Peacock email. We can then work on deleting the second email here. You will be able to continue to access Forums with your primary email.

No dice.  It won't let me change to my comcast email because it insists I already created an account with that email.  This is just the kind of confusion that results when YOU, XFINITY, insist on us providing more than one email.  For literally YEARS after those Peacock changes were made (early 2020's???) I was unable to access my Peacock account because for REASONS UNKNOWN, Comcast, when they did those Peacock changes a few years ago (and in fact for a very long time that message about what to do when they changed everything was pinned here in one of the forums, but for whatever reason now it appears that there is no longer ANYTHING pinned at any of the subforums... when did that happen?) Xfinity supplied, unbeknownst to me, my Yahoo email.  I suspect that before those changes when I was able to access Peacock with my Comcast email is why Peacock is "confused" and thinks I already created an account with my comcast account.  And you know, now that I think about it, the request for a second email account here might have been right around the time that Xfinity made those Peacock changes (I think Peacock used to be available to ALL Xfinity customers, but then it was changed and became only available to some, such as "Diamond" customers).  Is this why Xfinity insisted on that second email and then used THAT one when the changes were made to only provide Peacock for free for certain customers?  This appears to be 100% on you, Xfinity, and I want it fixed.  I want to delete that Yahoo account, AND I want to retain my Peacock account, and I want to do it with my Comcast email account.  Tell me how to fix this.

Oops, I see there are pinned things in the forums now.  They weren't showing up before.  This pinned post https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/channels-and-programming/activate-your-peacock-premium-plan-update-from-xfinity/65834cd42e4f0f28452e3b46 is dated Dec of 2023, but the changes were made prior to that.  I think this pinned email is the result of so many folks having problems when those changes were made and this was their attempt "We’re happy to share that Xfinity has enhanced the Peacock activation experience for customers currently eligible for Peacock Premium at no extra cost." because, as I said, IIRC, lots of folks were having problems when the changes first occurred..

... Peacock ... is there a place to change your email address?

I haven't tried it, but https://www.peacocktv.com/account/settings has an "Update email" link.
