change cell phone number in account

I have a new cell phone and I need to change the old number in my account to the new number but it wants to send the verification code to the old number. What do I do?

Hi there, @user_6oh10o. Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum. What you want to do first is update the mobile contact number associated with your XFINITY ID. Directions here : https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/add-secondary-phone-number-myaccountapp

Once that is done, you can change the mobile number for the account with the directions here : https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/update-account-preferences
