Access not Authorized

Getting an “Access not Authorized” message when trying to sign-in to app. I have my WiFi box connected to coaxial and to power.

Hi, the Xfinity app. I scan the QR code on the inside of the box that was shipped to me with my WiFi router. It has me download the Xfinity app. I sign in and it says “you have successfully signed in but you must be an Xfinity user to access the app”

Thank you for the information @user_2uzni7. Your Xfinity ID is most likely not linked to your account, which is why you are getting that error. Are you using a Xfinity ID that you used with a previous account?

No I’m a new customer. I signed up for WiFi earlier this week and was sent the WiFi box myself a couple days ago so just trying to do setup now

You may need to link your Xfinity ID that you are signing in with to the new account @user_2uzni7. You can do so with the instructions listed here

I tried to follow those instructions. When I click on “account and identity” it gives me another error message. This time saying “something went wrong” and it tells me to refresh or come back later. (I ran into this problem yesterday as well so coming back later doesn’t seem to be the solution either)
