xfinity app home automations

Within the Home app, I had an automation set to automatically arm the security system at a specific time. I had disabled the automation only to find the system was still executing the automation. I then attempted to delete the automation and again, found the system was still executing the automation. I've attempted to reset our display screen to see if this may reset the action, but it was unsuccessful. Is there a way to disable this action on the back end to prevent this from running?

We understand how frustrating and concerning it must be to have a security system that continues to operate an automation even after you've disabled and deleted it. Thank you for taking the time to troubleshoot this by resetting your display screen @user_mylt8l. Have you tried logging out of and reinstalling the Xfinity app?

@XfinityQuemekia I have logged out of the app and reinstalled; however, the automation continues to run. Are there any other troubleshooting steps that can be executed?

We’ve updated the Subscriber Portal where you currently set rules for your Xfinity Home — Automation system. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to change existing rules or add new ones. Current rules can be viewed in the Xfinity Home apps. We can take a look at this further if you need a rule changed or deleted. If you do Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? Our team can most definitely take a further look at this issue. To send a "Direct Message":
Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message chat" icon
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
