Xfinity Mobile number porting - customer service have no clue what they doing
I tried to port into Xfinity Mobile. I followed the process and initially, when I was trying to port my number or at least activate my account, I created an account on Xfinity Mobile and selected a plan. This was a BYOD, like bring your own device, and I tried to proceed with that process. For some reason, it says porting out number. First, they have to activate my line and then I can port out, but then they just said porting out number. The issue is they never asked me for my account number or port out pin to begin with. I'm not sure how they would even port out. They don't know where to port it out from and what account to actually go and port the number. They just took my number, that's it. I finally contacted customer service. They are trying to, they have raised multiple tickets where they say they are trying to port it out from US Mobile. I called up US Mobile. US Mobile has not received any requests of any port outs whatsoever. The line is very much active. Xfinity Mobile keeps saying that the MDN, my number, is inactive, which is incorrect. They keep saying that and they said that's the error they are getting, but the issue is there is no port out requests which have been sent to US Mobile to even port out my number. It's just a circular loop. This customer service at Xfinity Mobile has no clue what they're doing. I have no idea if they even understand how this thing works. It's a very seamless process, not really rocket science. It's been done and been there done that kind of thing by multiple providers and for some reason Xfinity Mobile is just making a mess out of it. I have no idea. There's been three tickets and going and there's still no resolution.
