Will my Verizon extender continue to work if I switch to Xfinity Mobile?
We are Verizon customers for cellular, and Xfinity customers for Internet.
We'd like to switch to Xfinity Mobile, but we're concerned about coverage, particularly in our home.
Apparently Xfinity Mobile is a Verizon MVNO, which means that it uses Verizon's cellular infrastructure and radio signals.
The Verizon signal is so weak where we live that we had to buy a Verizon-approved cellular extender (a Samsung SLS-BU10B). That gives us 5 bars in the house, via our Internet service.
Will the Verizon extender work with Xfinity Mobile?
That's a deal-maker or -breaker for us.

To answer your question, as long as your extender has already been registered with. Verizon it should work for XM. The reason that an extender has to be registered is to make sure that it is not causing interference or other problems with cellular and other radio waves nearby. If there were problems Verizon would have instructed you to disconnect your extender.
If you have good internet connectivity and good WiFi throughout your home you should probably be using WiFi Calling on each of your phones, rather than bothering with the extender?

Doesn't the Xfinity Mobile service connect to an Xfinity server for Xfinity billing purposes and the Verizon Network Extender connect to a Verizon server for Verizon account billing? Sure they might use the same network for cellular signal transmission, but billing is different.

Once you cancel your Verizon account, your Verizon Extender will cease to function. It may take Verizon a couple of weeks to catch up with you, but eventually they will.
The workaround is to obtain a family member or friend's Verizon log-in credentials. At your house, on your internet, have them log into THEIR Verizon account and then add your Extender info into THEIR account. Feed them dinner and enjoy the 5 bars !

Not all phones have WiFi Calling. My very reliable but very inexpensive LG's do not. FYI

From the Verizon 4G LTE Network Extender SLS-BU10B User Manual:
"Wireless Number: This is the wireless telephone number associated with this Network Extender's account. Please reference this wireless number when calling Verizon Wireless for support with this Network Extender."
A Verizon wireless telephone number is associated with the Verizon Wireless account it is activated on. The extender registers over the internet to a Verizon Wireless server/gateway to a specific Verizon Wireless account.

@GeneLa56, thanks for responding!
We have FiOS service in our name on another property in another town.
(Would have it here in a heartbeat if it were available...)
Does Verizon require an active Verizon Wireless account specifically, to continue provisioning our Verizon extender, or will having an active FiOS account elsewhere be sufficient?
