Verizon to Xfinity unnecessary drama

In late June, I called to find out about the switch from Verizon to Xfinity. I spoke to a representative that said Xfinity would handle the switch including paying off phone balance and remaining bill. I was also told that I would get a gift card in 2 months.

Today I called and the representative told me that Xfinity does not pay off phone bill and device balances. I was also told that I would not get the gift card for 90 days. Then another representative called and said 4 months IF I pay my bill on time. What's extremely frustrating is I have been a customer for over 20 years and today is the first time I felt like I had been told a lot of false information and that representatives thought I was lying about the information they provided me.

Good evening, Longtime-customer_but_it_does_not_matter! We are happy to further assist you with the gift card. We have been running promotions to pay off your current contract. You can see more here, https://mobiletimetoswitch.xfinity.com/. We require that you upload a statement from your current provider to release the prepaid card. So I can be on the same page with where things are at currently, did you upload a copy of your statement at the website above after you signed up?

This response is the exact opposite of what representatives have told me

We want to get this situation turned around, Longtime-customer_but_it_does_not_matter! You can see the promotion and details which leads to the mobile time to switch website on our Xfinity Mobile deals page, https://www.xfinity.com/mobile// It is shown in the carousel of deals. If you click more details it shows all the requirements and the website to upload your bill. Do you have a copy of the statement so you can upload that? We can also put in a ticket and reference that you uploaded the bill to help get this resolved as quickly as possible.
