Urgent: Confirm Number Retention After Line Restoration
Hi,
My Xfinity Mobile line was accidentally cancelled earlier but has since been restored and is now showing as active in my account. However, my eSIM profile was deleted, and I’m currently outside the U.S., so I’m unable to reinstall the eSIM right now.
Before anything else, I want to confirm: is my phone number fully safe and reserved on my account during this period, even though the eSIM is not currently active and I won’t be able to reinstall it for about 40 days? Please let me know if there is any risk of the number being released or the line being cancelled due to inactivity.
If there are no risks, could you also confirm whether there is any way to install or activate the eSIM for this line while I am outside the U.S., or if I will need to wait until I return?
Thank you for your help.

Hi @user_w8mjqd, I am glad you found our community forums support page. Futhermore, I do want to let you that it can take up to 48 hours for post to filter into an official employee, but thank you for taking the correct steps to get the best help.
Xfinity mobile holds phone numbers from disconnected accounts for 30 days. As long as the phone number is showing as active on your account then you should have no worries, I hope that gives you some peace of mind on your trip!
You should have no trouble activating your eSIM outside of the country as long as you have a Wi-Fi connection. The article below will provide you with instructions on how to do such.
How do I activate my mobile phone or tablet with Xfinity Mobile and NOW Mobile?
Please let us know if that information helped. 😃
