Upgrading BOYD phone

I currently have a iPhone 12 BYOD with a Xfinity SIM card. I plan to upgrade to a iPhone 15 with an eSIM. Should I use the built in iPhone utility to move the Xfinity activation or use the Xfinity activate website?
