Hello, and thank you for reaching out for help. I am not familiar with "28777", are these codes coming from Xfinity, or another company?

@XfinityBrandon It is the short code number for USPS... particularly, tracking number updates.

@JangoFred Thank you for letting us know! Is there an error code or message you're receiving from that number? In the message history, is there a way for you to reinitiate the automated text option from USPS?

There is no error code... I just don't receive the messages. I have seen evidence that Xfinity Mobile just doesn't play nice with many short code messages. I suppose I will just initiate return to Verizon Wireless.

@JangoFred, I recently had to re-okay my messages to come from short codes as I did not recognize one and "reported as spam" which blocked it from coming to my phone.

I no longer work for Comcast.

You may have to suspend and resume your line by calling XM, asking for this from tier 2 support since they can do this more efficiently and quicker. They will have to forward your call and probably ask for callback. Have another phone available. But, before you do this check the following:

1.) Are you receiving any SMS? Email yourself an SMS to  [your phone number]@vtext.com
2.) Check phone for blocked numbers. On iPhone go to settings, phone, blocked contacts, and edit/delete any accidental ones.

Good Luck!

I have the same problem -  can't receive short code messages from my bank.  Spent half an hour with my bank, then 2 hours on the phone with the Advanced Support Team at Xfinity Mobile this morning and they still can't figure it out.  They're telling me to wait 24 hours...mayb their way of brushing me off?

I am really worried I just screwed up big-time with the switch from Verizon to Xfinity.  Xfinity Mobile should have figured out how to get 2-factor authentication to work - this is something that is mainstream and necessary.
