Questions about adding a 1 Year Free Unlimited Xfinity Mobile Line to an existing 5 Year $50/mo. - 1 Gig Internet Price Guarantee
I see an offer about claiming an Unlimited Xfinity Mobile line for 1 year, free of charge. It appears the $25 line activation fee is being waived until 3/23/26. I have several questions regarding this offer.
Is the 1 year of Unlimited Xfinity Mobile truly free? No cost? No charge for gov't taxes, sales tax, 911 fee, USF fee, FCC fee, Operational Compliance fee or any other surcharges/fees for 1 year? I see there is a Premium Unlimited line for $10/mo., but I am referring to the Standard Unlimited line offered as Free for 1 year.
If I add an Xfinity Mobile line to my current Internet only package: 5 Year $50/mo. - 1 Gig Internet speed Price Guarantee - does that in any manner affect my current Internet pricing deal guarantee? Whether it be price, term, internet speed, wireless gateway or any other item not mentioned? i.e. would I lose access to the $50/mo. 5 year price guarantee for 1 Gig internet speed?
If I decide to remove Xfinity Mobile service from my account in 1 month, 1 year or 2 years, etc. - does that in any manner affect my current Internet pricing deal guarantee? Whether it be price, term, internet speed, wireless gateway or other item not mentioned? My current Internet only package: 5 Year $50/mo. - 1 Gig Internet speed Price Guarantee. i.e. would I lose access to the $50/mo. 5 year price guarantee for 1 Gig internet speed?
If I decide to remove Xfinity Mobile service from my account in 1 month, 1 year or 2 years, etc. - is there any cancellation fee or any other monetary charge? In this scenario I would still be an Xfinity Internet customer.
The gist of my inquiry is if adding or removing an Xfinity Mobile line will at all affect my current Internet price, term & speed guarantee? Or somehow negate the deal. Also if the 1 year Unlimited line is truly free (with no hidden fees/taxes/costs)?

@user_lqdjqm The 1 year of Xfinity Mobile is truly free. Only caveat is if you already have Xfinity Mobile service or have had in the past, offer doesn't apply. Signing up for mobile service, or discontinuing at anytime will not affect your internet service deal/rate in any way. There are no cancellation fees for mobile service. It's a pre-paid month to month service. Only fee is the $25 activation. Yes, they are waiving it currently. Now would be a good time to signup as they only do that occasionally.

Hello, @user_lqdjqm thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums, you've contacted the right place for assistance. I definitely want to help answer all your questions, and see one of our awesome community members @DreamSayerZ was able to help provide some information and understand wanting to hear from an employee as well. It is correct that the Xfinity Mobile Unlimited line is free for 12 months with a new Xfinity Mobile line. There is no charge for the unlimited line as taxes and fees are covered, and with having the free line activation through 3/23 that will cover the $25 line activation fee. If you were to get a new device, there would be charges associated with the device as the free line doesn't cover equipment purchases.
There is no commitment for Xfinity Mobile, so you can cancel at anytime. If you are purchasing a device on payments, cancelling service will accelerate the remaining monthly device charges and then would need to be paid off in full before being unlocked. Xfinity Mobile offers no additional bundle savings to internet promotions, so removing wouldn't affect the internet promotion or speeds you currently have.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, or if you'd like to move forward with the Xfinity Mobile service I can help get that set up for you.
