Why are free movies suddenly not free
Why are movies On Demand, that were free earlier , now say Free With Subscription. This includes channels like TCM... There are no free movies.. What is going on?

Hello @cmw112, and thank you for reaching out with your On Demand concern with free movies. I would be happy to take a look into what is going on and get it fixed for you.
Can you send us a private message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address?
To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it

I'm getting something similar with TCM, which is part of my channel lineup. Tonight suddenly the TCM movies listed in the "On Demand" free movies section say "Free with Subscription" and want a rental fee. Geez, you just raised your prices AGAIN and now you're trying to charge for something that's supposed to be free?

Was watching tv shows on demand last week that we’re free now today went to watch same shows and now they ALL say free with subscription and if I want to watch I need to rent? What changed in a few days?

I'm having the same problem of free movies On Demand now saying "subscription required." Spent 45 minutes on phone with Xfinity support and still not solved.

I am having the same problem. I am on the "free movies" section on demand, but when I click play it takes me to a third party (like Peacock) to subscribe so not free at all. Very frustrating!
