Tech came out and made tiling worse, not better

We have been getting tiling on all of our on-demand content for a month and I finally got sick of it so I made an appointment.
The tech came out today after making us wait an hour, and then spent an hour and a half swapping the box and trying to pair our old remote to the new box, after placing a picture frame directly in front of the electric eye, and not realizing it for almost 40 minutes until I pointed it out.

he kept wondering why he was only able to get the remote to work from certain angles, as the picture frame he had placed in front of the TV was blocking from straight on.

He was in a hurry for his next appointment, but I made him stay until I checked the on-demand. Well of course it still was tiling and out of curiosity I checked my DVR, and suddenly all my DVR Content was also pixelated and tiling when it never was before he came!!

since I don't watch live TV, all of my content is now corrupted and I would like to be reimbursed for the 8+ days I have not been able to benefit from my television.

not only did he not fix anything and make everything worse, I now have to wait three more days for another tech to come out because of the stupid holiday, and spend another two hours of my time babysitting the tech, in the hopes that something can be fixed. I have been a customer since 1995 and for over $200 a month, the service should be more competent.
