STARZ subscriber, yet one episode of Girlfriend Experience wants $2.99

I subscribe to STARZ.  I started watching Girlfriend Experience.  When I get to the season 3, second episode, it wants me to pay $2.99.  Season 3, Episodes 1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 all FREE with subscription.  ONE episode, season 3 episode 2, they want me to buy for $2.99????????  Damn if I'm paying for an episode when I am already paying for a subscription.  What is up with this?

Hello @LGaspari! I'm not sure why that one episode has a charge for it, but I'm happy to help any way I can. Do you have a DVR by chance that could record the series by chance? A work around would be to record that episode during a rearing.

@XfinityEricB​    I do have a dvr but there are no upcoming airings scheduled.  It annoys me that I'm being charged $8.99 per month for Starz, yet there is a price for one out of the nine episodes.  It is price gouging...trying to force me to spend extra above the subscription price by getting me interested, then saying "this one episode is extra".  I ended up skipping that one episode which detracts from any enjoyment of subscribing to Starz.  Why is this allowed?

I would love to tell you why Starz made that specific episode one that has to be bought, but they are free to set up anything as they see fit without our approval. @XfinityEricB​   I sent a private message as requested, but haven't heard back.  Also, by the way, I contacted Starz about the issue of having to pay an extra $2.99 for one out of the ten episodes.  Their answer was "when we withhold one episode out of the nine, we ALLOW xfinity to offer that episode for a price".  That did not answer my question about WHY they withhold one out of the nine episodes from people paying $8.99 for access to their programming.  In my opinion, Starz skirted my question of WHY? and xfinity passed the buck.  So, I have received no answer to my original question.

I am sorry to read you have not heard anything back in a Private Message. I am not sure why they have it set up that way, and I would have no way of answering on their behalf. We only provide the content they deliver to us. It looks like if you would like to watch episode 2, you would need to pay the $2.99 for this episode.
