paramount plus not working

When I try to access Paramount+ through the box I get a message telling me I need a new box. However, all of the other streaming apps work just fine. I just received a new box about 3 months ago. What is the problem?

Same issue here. Paramount+ app super slow. When it finally loads it freezes. Some live soccer simply doesn’t even load. Frustrating!

Same issue---I try to subscribe to Paramount+ and I get an error message saying I need an additional device...I have X1 DVR--

And BTW, it's now virtually impossible to talk to a human by calling Comcast---raised my monthly bill 20% and have zero customers service.

Sad to see there is still no resolution. For about few months I have had issues. When I got my new equipment from Xfinity in November, I tried Paramount+, and it wouldn't work. They box said that a new cable box was needed and they were sending out a new updated box on the message through the application. Strange since I just got a box from the Xfinity store that same day that was not up-to-date. A few days later got the new box ( looked exactly like the old one) set that up, and tried again. It was sporadic on loading a show through the application. You choose a show, it spins and spins, then says error and says is gave a code, but there is no number after the dash. Initially we would need to try to load the show about 3-5 times before it finally starts. Now we literally have tried 20-40 times and no go. Perfectly fine if I cast to my Chromecast from my phone, but would love the application to work off the box. Kept thinking, "There is going to be an update and it will work." Well looks like that is not going to happen. Still waiting after many months of many people having the same problem to see if Xfinity can finally find a fix. Still waiting.

Not  sure  why  Comcast’s  third party app won’t work either. I too could  send it to tv through Bluetooth, and I can physically go into Tvs smart menu and run Paramount+ that way, but if I try to load it through the cable box it will not work. I also wish Comcast would figure out why thier third party app doesn’t communicate properly.

I am going to contact Paramount. Maybe if they know why I am cancelling they will get on Comcast.
