On Demand Shows Not Available

For years I have waited until Friday and Saturday to watch my favorite shows using on demand.  I work killer hours during the week and don't have time to watch them when they come on.  On demand was my solution, but now multiple shows are not available weeks after airing.

What changed?  Why is "on demand" a lie?  Is this going to be fixed or should I start looking for a non-cable provider to get my service?
