On demand shows need bought?

Animal kingdom has 4 seasons on demand, but season 4 episode 8 I have to purchase to watch?
We pay for the service to watch on demand when we can’t see it when it is first air’d... why do I have to spend more money just to watch a single episode? Is this some kind of ploy to get me to purchase more stuff from you, because it isn’t going to work. I’ll just skip it and watch the recap. So what’s the deal??

It's the network that is charging for it, not Comcast.  Comcast has to put it up that way.

So they purchased all but 1 episode? I find that hard to believe.

Exactly! If this is in fact a network's decision to charge, then the exorbitant amount that is charged by Comcast should cover those costs for all their paying customers to watch the shows they are clearly paying for each month

Some networks allow their shows to be free to watch On Demand only for a short amount of time after the show originally airs on the network, such as two weeks.  After that short time then there is a charge to watch On Demand.  PBS, for example, often does this.  Maybe the network that airs Animal Kingdom does the same thing.  Look at the description paragraph for a particular episode On Demand for a clue about when a free period may end.
