Need peacock to watch on demand??

For the past couple weeks the only option coming up to watch "free" on demand shows is through peacock. Since I do not have comcast wifi or even a smart tv I now cannot watch " free" shows on demand? Was on chat with customer service was told server rebooted will take 60 minutes. Nothing changed I still have only the option of watching on demand via peacock which I am unable to do. Why am I paying for no service??
