Doc S2 episodes missing from free

Season 2 of Doc has episodes 1,2,5 free.   However episodes 3,4 are not- it is saying buy for $2.99.

Can this be fixed or is this the situation intended by Fox and/or Comcast?

Doesnt make sense to keep up with the show if they are going to charge randomly for some episodes but not others.

This is with a X1 box.

EdT2 Some episodes will be free while others may have a charge associated with it. There is no way to change that, but can only advise to check on it periodically as it could change.

This is Absolutely the Stupidest thing I have ever seen done by Xfinity and or Sony. I am paying close to $200 / month and this show is kinda in my line up?  Time to look for a better cable service. Last month you terminated Marquee channel from my package so we cannot watch the Cubs next season, and said if you want to watch upgrade to significantly more expensive package. This is terrible management

This isn't really the fault of Comcast/Xfinity.   The broadcast networks typically will have the most recent episode available for "free" the day after original air date and maybe a while after that.   However, most of them are associated with pay networks (e.g. NBC stuff is on Peacock,  CBS stuff on Paramount+, etc...).   Also they may sell rights to a different streaming service.

On checking just now, Saturday 10-Jan-2026, I see all of DOC Season 2 episodes as "Free from Fox".  However all of Season 1 episodes can either be bought from Sony or viewed on Netflix.   Season 2 was on hiatus over the holidays but recently added episode 10.

It is maddening, I know.   For some older series there seems to be little rhyme or reason as to which are "Free" or which want one to pay.   I had watched the older Series, Lie To Me, seasons 1 and 2.    However, when I got to season 3 it wanted me to pay for it.   I didn't do that but periodically check availability and was pleasantly surprised this month to find season 3 is now "Free" on Tubi.

Pluto seems to jump in what it has available.  I'll be watching some seasons of a show (Criminal Minds and News Radio come to mind) but at the start of a new month those seasons are no longer available but other seasons are now available.

Like you I pay a fair amount for Cable TV so am unwilling to pay extra for other streaming services or episodes.  I just move on to something else when frustrated by inaccessibility of what I want to watch.
