channel subscription required to record on dvr

Yet I have the channel. Trying to record a show tomorrow night on the CW. Used to have 2 exact same CW channels, now ones gone so I trying to record on the other. I’m able to view the channel and watch it, but I cannot record anything on this channel. No changes to my xfinity package. System refreshed both the tv box and the other thing that allows system refresh once every 24hr. Getting super frustrated.

Hi, there @Innamorare! Thanks for reaching out to XFINITY over our forums page and for patiently waiting for a response. I am sorry to learn about the recording troubles and the frustration. I like using my DVR to record all my favorite shows so I can understand the inconvenience that this can cause. You've come to the right family over social media to help. Can you tell us a little bit more about when you started to notice this issue? Did this just start happening? Are you experiencing this issue on multiple set-top boxes?

@XfinityGabriel​ I haven't watched CW in a while nor recorded it but I noticed they got rid of it on channel 10 so I tried to record from the alternate cw channel (it was the exact same channel twice basically). I am able to watch it but unable to record anything on that channel because "I'm not subscribed" to it. I haven't made any changes with my xfinity subscription and I still have a year in my contract. I'm able to record other channels, but not this one. I only have one box so I can't say if it's across multiple mediums but I tried to record it from the xfinity app as well and experienced same outcome.
