tv box replacement

One of my TV boxes went bad and is dead. My Xfinity Store more than an hour away. Why can I not get a new one by mail and ship the faulty one back with a prepaid label? And since I rent this box, why should I have to pay anything to get a working one. I have chatted abou this but the information I get makes no sense at all and the person I chat with has a language problem so I don't undertstand what she means. Either I get a quick replacement without cost or I will skip Comcast and reconnect my Dish service!

Good morning @user_c418be we'd be happy to assist

Please send us a DM with your full name and address to Xfinity Support.

To send a direct message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
