Unable to connect to "Xfinity Mobile" WiFi network

I am an Xfinity Mobile customer and also have Xfinity home internet.

Since moving to a new phone (Google Pixel 11 Pro) at the end of August, I have been unable to connect to "Xfinity Mobile" WiFi networks. In the phone's WiFi settings, "Xfinity Mobile" networks appear, and say "Available via Xfinity Mobile" in the text underneath the WiFi name. When I try to connect to one of these networks, it thinks about it for a bit, but then says "Authentication problem"

I have the Xfinity app installed on my phone, and have tried going to WiFi > WiFi Hotspots (following the instructions from https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/about-xfinity-wifi-internet) however the option to "Connect automatically", then "Auto-connect now" does not appear in my app (step 3 under the "How to connect" section).

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, turning my phone off and on, and even turning my Xfinity Mobile eSIM off and on again.

Interestingly (though maybe unconnected), I noticed that my phone does not appear in the list of Xfinity Mobile devices connected to my home WiFi (WiFi page in the app > Connected to your WiFI > Devices > Xfinity Mobile shows 0 devices).

Any advice appreciated. Chatting with agents has not yet yielded any results.

I appreciate all the troubleshooting you've already completed, and I am sorry that you are having trouble connecting to Xfinity Mobile. There are two other hotspots for us that the customer can connect to: xfinitywifi and XFINITY. Are you able to connect to the other two hotspots, and is your phone the only device that is unable to connect to Xfinity Mobile?

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I can connect to the open WiFi hotspots, but not the secure ones which require users to follow these steps: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/about-xfinity-wifi-internet

The guide also says "Xfinity Mobile customers connect automatically to secure hotspots" and we are therefore not supposed to have to go through these extra authentication steps.

I haven't tried on any other devices, as this is the only mobile phone I own.

Thanks for that clarification.  Circling back a bit - I noticed you stated that your mobile phone doesn't show up as having been connected to your wifi at home - have you ever connected it to the Wi-Fi SSID associated with your home services? (Not the 'xfinity' Wi-Fi)

Yessir.

My point there was that my phone was showing up under the "Connected" category rather than the dedicated "Xfinity Mobile" category. Happy to provide a screenshot of that would be helpful.

Thanks for confirming that @user_kwsyhq.  Lets try a couple of steps to see if we can get this to align for you first. (You'll need to be in an area where the public wifi's are being broadcast for this.)

On the cellphone go into the settings for Wi-Fi and FORGET all of the XFINTY, xfinitywifi, Xfinity Mobile settings completely.

Make sure the Xfinity App gets CLOSED completely, then restart the device.  Once you do, power cycle the phone.

Once the phone comes up, re-open the Xfinity App, and THEN see what happens when you try to do the secure connection again.  Let us know the results.  (Sometimes the tokens get messed up and by forgetting them and doing this fresh, it will fix it.)
