Silence Junk Callers

On my iPhone 12 when I go to call Blocking & Identification and toggle on Silence Junk Callers the phone still rings even when the calls are labeled as Potential Spam. The setting says it should send them to voicemail, but yet the phone still rings. Please advise as it is really frustrating.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to Xfinity Support @user_1yzay3!  We are so glad to hear from you and want to assist in any way that we can to ensure you are having the best experience with your service.  Are you able to confirm that you are using the latest Apple iOS on that device?

user_1yzay3 Thank you for confirming that information for us! Have you reviewed the information available here regarding the Silence Unkown callers feature?

With iOS 13 and later, you can turn on Silence Unknown Callers to avoid getting calls from people you don’t know. This blocks phone numbers that you've never been in contact with and don’t have saved in your contacts list. If you’ve previously texted with someone using their phone number or if a person has shared their phone number with you in an email, a phone call from that number will go through.

Calls from unknown numbers are silenced and sent to your voicemail, and appear in your recent calls list.

Incoming calls will come through from people that are saved in your contacts list, recent calls list, and from Siri Suggestions to let you know who’s calling based on phone numbers included in your emails or text messages.

Have you cleared your texts and call logs from any of these numbers? That may be why it is still ringing through. I would recommend clearing the call log and any text messages that may have come from scam numbers and see if it still occurs.
