Greetings, @user_55ff0l! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your email settings, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

Can you tell me a little more about what's happening? Are you trying to set up a new mail client, or did your existing client start producing errors? Have you recently changed or updated your password online?

@XfinityJamesC My existing mail client started giving me errors. I did not change anything.

We know how frustrating it is when your email suddenly stops working, especially with an IMAP error like that.

That “AUTHENTICATIONFAILED” message usually means there's either a password issue or a setting that needs to be updated. Here are a few things to double-check:

1. Username & Password: Make sure you’re using your full Xfinity email address and the correct password. Try logging in at xfinity.com to confirm it’s working there.

2. Mail Settings:

- Incoming Mail Server: imap.comcast.net

- Port: 993

- Security: SSL/TLS should be ON

- Authentication: Your email address and password

3. App Passwords (if using Apple Mail or Outlook): If you have 2-Step Verification turned on for your Xfinity account, you might need to generate a mail app password. You can do that from your account settings at xfinity.com under Security > App Passwords.

Once you’ve confirmed those, try restarting your device and checking Mail again. If you're still having issues, let us know, and we will be happy to assist you further!
