Trouble with one phone number

From my landline I can dial anyone’s phone number and get through to them. There is one particular number that I dial and I get a busy signal. That person has checked all of their call blocking settings, etc., and they are clear. Why would I not be able to get through to one particular number? I have reset the modem, done all the Xfinity unplugged, replug, etc.  I have disconnected my phone etc as well.

I am sorry to hear about the issues you are having with that number, but you have come to the right place for assistance. Is the number you are having issues with able to call you?

Yes. There are no other issues except calling out your this one number. When I do, I get an immediate busy signal which yells me the call is not getting out of xfinity. In the meantime I’ve replaced the outdated modem as well. This did not solve the problem.
