No Dial Tone

We have the same problem as a bunch of people here -- no dial tone for our voice. We've done all the steps that have been recommended and they don't work. Then, when we looked here, it seems that the only solution is to direct message customer support -- but we have no icons that allow us to do so. Very frustrating!

Click "Sign In" if necessary
 • Click the "Direct Message" icon (upper right corner of this page)
 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
 • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
 • Press Enter to send your message

Glad we got this fixed up! The modem needed to be provisioned and then restarted to get the dial tone working again.

How does one make that happen? We cannot get through to anyone for help.
