No dial tone after getting a new modem

I recently replaced my Xfinity modem, and while my TV and Internet are working fine, I am not getting a dial tone on my voice service. Calls to the phone number are all going to voicemail. Apparently, I am not alone in having this problem.

I have already:
* checked to make sure that none of the phones were off the hook;

* rebooted the modem;

* plugged a working phone directly into the TEL1 jack of the modem. (I have also tried the TEL2 jack.)
Nothing has worked.
The website and app just send me around in circles. I have to come here to be able to talk to a human for some reason.

I would like to take a look at your services on our end. 

 

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
