Home phone not working

I was sent a new modem and I installed it and mailed back the old one. I later found out that my home phone stopped working when I installed the new modem.  I have been trying to text people on the app first with the completely unhelpful AI assistant and then with the live agent who I thought was trying to be helpful but was apparently was trying to upsell me a new service that I didn't want. I am already paying $330 a month for a service that is now not working and I am finding it impossible to find someone to help me. I don't know if anyone looks at this but I am running out of options.
