Why does my call history show missed calls as answered?

My call history for my home phone shows pretty much every single call as ANSWERED. I hardly ever answer this phone so they should be shown as MISSED.

Is there some way to fix this? Or what causes this?

Do you have an answering machine on your home phone system?

No. I use the voicemail service provided with the xfinity/comcast phone service. These calls do not leave any voicemails.

Hello @gwiz62! Thank you for reaching out to ur community for assistance with the call type issue. Are you using the Xfinity Voice mail feature or call Forwarding? Can you also tell me if you have changed the sorting filter at the top right in any way?

Yes, I use the Voicemail feature.  I have not and do not change the sorting filter.  All of these calls shown here --- were definitely NOT answered.

Also, these "answered" calls show them as lasting anywhere from 0 to 11 seconds.

Thank you for confirming that. Have you ever had or do you currently have the call-forwarding feature active on the line?

Are you using call blocking?  It would answer and block call after first ring.
