voicemail notification

Hi, lately we have a problem with voicemails left by a caller where our phone shows a missed call with time stamp but the notification for a new voicemail from comcast service does not show up some times 2 -5 hours later. Is this persistent problem in the comcast system transmitting to our phone or is it our phone in itself not picking the notification up in a timely manor ?

Good morning! thank you for reaching out to us here so we can help out with your voicemail notifications. It should actually notify you in under a minute with notifications. I'm glad you brought this up so we can help. 

Do you have your notifications set up through your email currently? Do they include transcripts of the voicemail?

@XfinityDevinC​ Thanks for responding, notification for missed calls and voice mail is only through xfinity voice mail - phone system alerts through display and flashing notification light on the phone no text msg or e-mail is set up for that purpose. It used to work properly for years it is just recent that no notification for new voice mail did show or popped up hours later.
