Unable to receive incoming calls

When someone calls my home phone.  The phone rings, I answer and no one is on the other end.  When I tried to call my home phone it rang and when I answered the phone the call went to voicemail.  I have restarted my modem but it didn't fix the issue.  Apparently the issue has been going on for sometime but I just found out recently.

Apparently when I upgraded my modem I plugged the phone into the wrong phone jack in the back of the modem.  Saw another post with the same issue.
