Nomorobo spam protection ended January 1, 2026 for landlines / VoIP

Nomorobo has stopped spam call protection on landlines and VoIP effective 1/1/2026. See: https://www.nomorobo.com/landline-discontinued

Is xfinity providing a replacement?

Also, when I click "Learn More About xfinity Voice" from https://connect.xfinity.com/voice/voicemail I am taken to this page https://www.xfinity.com/home-phone-service.html which fails to open from multiple browsers on desktop and phones.

Too many spam calls are coming in and we need xfinity to provide a solution, and instructions provided on the xfinity website are outdated and/or nonfunctioning.

Thanks for bringing this up. You’re absolutely right that Nomorobo discontinued landline and VoIP protection as of January 1, 2026, and we understand how concerning that is with the volume of spam calls people are dealing with.

Here’s where things stand.

Xfinity Voice does include built-in spam call protection features, even without Nomorobo. These include:

– Spam call blocking and filtering
– Anonymous call rejection
– Selective call blocking
– Caller ID and call screening features

You can manage most of these by signing into your Xfinity account and navigating to Voice settings, or through the Xfinity app under the Voice section.

That said, we agree that the information online should be clear and up to date. We appreciate you pointing out the broken “Learn More” link. That definitely shouldn’t be happening, and we’ll make sure that gets reported so it can be corrected.

If you’re receiving excessive spam calls right now, the fastest steps to take are:

– Enable spam call blocking in your Voice settings
– Turn on Anonymous Call Rejection
– Add persistent numbers to your call block list

We know spam calls are more than just annoying at this point. Let’s make sure your protections are fully enabled and working the way they should.
