Xfinity Help & Support Forum Archival Project
***UPDATE 07/29/2019***
The archive has been made inaccessible to all users. As mentioned below this was done in an effort to ensure only the most relevant information remains viewable and to continue our efforts to organize the forum. Please keep in mind posts are only archived if they meet the following 3 requirements; they have reached a certain age, they have few replies and have a low view count.
We ask that if you have a question, comment or concern that you find the most appropriate board for your post type and author a new post there. If you have questions about the forum, please post them here: https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Getting-Started/bd-p/StttingStarted
***ORIGINAL POST***
Is there something in the Xfinity Forum that you are looking for and cannot find? This could be because we recently started an archive project.
Since our community started in 2003, we have continued to allow topics to live on forever in our public forum. This method has allowed outdated and irrelevant content to still be accessible. For a Support Forum this method can cause some of our users to have difficulty finding the exact information they are looking for. It can also mean that the Best Answer of the past, may no longer be the best answer today.
Since Comcast releases new products and services frequently, in the coming weeks you will notice our team reviewing and archiving obsolete posts. These posts will be moved off their board to a public archive. When a topic is archived you will still be able to view this post or link to them for insight in new discussions, you will simply not be able to continue the discussion. After some time in this public archive, it will no longer searchable or viewable. Of course any topics that are still very active, regardless of the age, will continue to stay in a public board for you to participate in. If one of your posts is archived, don’t worry it will not affect your post count, your rank, or any associated badges.
If you want to help with these efforts, if you find a post that you feel should be archived you can click the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner of the post. There you will see the option to “Report” the post. In the “Notify Moderator of Inappropriate Content” window add the verbiage “Archive Post” and include your explanation as to why you believe that post needs to be archived.
If there is a topic that you cannot find and believe that it requires additional attention or that it is still relevant, please contact ComcastJessie or ComcastJohnL and we will review your request. However, if any post violates our forum guidelines, these posts are usually removed immediately and will not be returned to the public forum. As always, any posts that violate our forum guidelines in any way could result in the revocation of your Xfinity Forum posting privileges. We ask that you please review our guidelines for additional information.

@Whatitwas,
Thank you for posting your questions and we apologize for the confusion.
I have moved your archived post back to the public Billing Board. There you should receive the quickest, most accurate response possible.

Why was the below post moved to Archive when it was posted on August 28, 2018 about an issue as recent as August 25, 2018. With NO notification to the user who posted as to why it was moved.

@jw32097 & @Peanut84,
Thank you for posting your questions here and thanks for letting us know about an issue with our archive tool.
It is automated and sometimes incorrectly archives active posts. You will notice that I have moved both of your posts back to the appropriate public board. The links you have posted will automatically re-direct you to where the posts are located at now.
I have also alerted our Community Engagement Team to assist with your concerns, you should be hearing from someone soon.
Thanks again for letting us know we will work to get this corrected in a permanent way.

Keeping this public,
While I appreciate the help and getting the topics moved back and understand it would be a very difficult job as being one of the few admins for this site.
Can I request the last paragraph from this post be removed or atleast reworded, as I was just warned for messaging one of the admins this post SPECIFICALLY said to contact, with their name hyperlinked, if something was archived we felt "was still relevant". This to me comes off as a request to contact one of these two admins directly for support. Which would be following the guidelines as the admin is requesting to be contacted.
Again, appreciate all help provided, but maybe rewording this could prevent further confusion since obviously contacting the admin like the post says is not correct.

Strange archive - many links provided when I search but all links lead to a "How Cane We Help You" page with no help.
A while ago I posted a question, didn't know it had a response. The question up in the search field, but as stated the archival links go nowhere. Wondering what I asked and what the response was.
