Xfinity Forums FAQs

Q: Can I delete my profile once it has been created?

A: Due to system limitations, we are not able to delete profiles once they have been created. However, you can request to have your account blocked or you can turn off all notifications.

Q: Am I able to update my email once my profile has been established?

A: Also due to system limitations we are not able to update the email address on your account. You may try to reregister using a different email.

Q: Why don't I recognize the username on my profile and can I change it?

A: Your username was either randomly generated when you first logged into the Xfinity Forum and created your profile OR it was changed due to violating forums guidelines. You can request your username be changed by creating a post on the Community Center > Getting Started board, as long as it does not violate Xfinity Forum guidelines or the Acceptable Use Policy.

Q: Why is my post marked as private? Why was my post edited?

A: A post can be made private or edited for a number of reasons. Personal information, images, profanity, or any guideline violations will cause your post to be marked as private. See the forums guidelines here or the Acceptable Use Policy here.

Q: What board should I post on if I need customer service or billing assistance?

A: If you need customer service or billing help from Xfinity, you should be posting these questions on the Customer Service board or the Billing board.

Q: How can I change my notification preferences?

  • Open Profile Menu: Click on your profile icon located in the top right corner of the page.

  • Access Settings: From the dropdown menu, select "Profile settings."

  • Navigate to Notifications: Click on the "Notifications & Preferences" tab.

  • Customize Alerts: Adjust your settings based on where you want to receive updates:

    • Platform: These notifications will appear on the forums page itself.

    • Email: These alerts will be sent directly to your registered email address.
