No Forum notifications for "replies"

I'm not receiving notifications for "replies" to threads I subscribe to. I get them when "comments" are posted, but not for "replies". The result is that, when a "reply" is posted I have no way of knowing about it unless I pull up the thread manually. I have never received a single "reply" notification since the change to the new forum, not via the "bell" icon nor email.

Please help.

Note that any message a poster wants me to be aware of needs to be posted as a "comment", not as a "reply". Since I do not get notifications for "replies", I will not know that such messages exist unless I happen to stumble across them.
