Direct messaging option disappeared

Your forum account was here was just created today so it would have been impossible to message xfinity support as it only becomes possible to use direct messaging after your first post.

In addition it it against Xfinity Forum Guidelines and Xfinity Forum Acceptable Use Policy to send an unsolicited DM. Doing so could lead it to be ignored. 

Please post your issue in public in the corresponding forum so that it can be viewed by other fellow customers trying to help or by an Official Employee of the Digital Care Team.

@notgoodatusernames is absolutely correct! You would need to post a public message first, which you have now done, so the direct messaging option should be available. Before we take things private, can you tell me a little more about your concerns today? Are you having issues with your service, or do you have any questions we can answer for you?

I previously sent a direct message to Xfinity Support, but the direct message option is no longer visible ...

If you sent the message while logged in with a different UserID/Forum profile ID than the one you used here, you won't be able see the DM sent under that other ID. When logging in with a UserID you haven't previously used, you are a new user as far as the Forum is concerned. 

Please be aware that there are 2 kinds of responses in this Forum: Replies and Comments. When you Comment on a post by scrolling down to "Comment on this post here...", I am notified of your response. But if you select Reply, I am NOT notified and may not be aware of your response.
