Xfinity Flex times out

Anyone else have issues where their Xfinity flex just stops working and restarts? I've had this happen at least 3 times every time I watch Netflix, or any other streaming service on my account. I'll be halfway through watching a show, then it'll stop and take me back to the flex home page.

Yes, I too have this issue on Netflix and other streaming services like Prime and Hulu.
And the services are going through the Flex box.
And I checked my router, and it's not an issue there.
I have noticed this issue for the past couple of months.
Today is 1/24/21
My expectation is that it is the Flex service issue.
Can someone from Flex support respond here?

I was having this problem too... But now its like the user interface for the flex box has just completely crapped out: so, now, randomly, mid-program it will just go to a black screen. The good news is that, most of the time, voice control still works allowing access to 3rd party apps. But the flex interface, browsing, searching across platforms, etc, is a no go.

Yes, I am having that same experience.
I originally would reset my cable modem and wireless router, and wait for the Flex service to come back. It works, but it does not fix the root problem. It will happen to me the following day or so.

I also found that if you scroll to the end of the apps, there are some options: account, settings, help.
Going into help, there is an option for resetting the Flex box. That works too.

But I am looking for is a fix to the root cause of the Flex service crapping out.

I was hoping an XFinity support person was monitoring these forums to provide an answer for a fix.

This happened to me for months. I tried all the hacks. I finally got them to swap out for a new flex box, 4 days ago, and it just freaking happened again! I’ve tried plugging into different outlets, changed the HDMI cable, resetting the box and the modem...nothing works!

Does xfinity fixed this issue? I just got xfinty flex and it happens in all apps. I can not  watch a single show, reset, restart again, watch 10 min, black screen, back to flex home page.

Going back to Amazon fire stick.

Hey @user_421789! Thanks for reaching out about this and being an Xfinity Customer. I've never heard anything like that before but it does sound like a signal issue. Do you have any kind of issues like this with anything else connected to your WiFi Network? Also, are all the cables connected to the Flex box finger tight on both ends?
