Flex Language Support

Does Flex support 2 byte characters?

Is there any way to search programs in Japanese on Youtube?
It's garbled now.

@user_c874ea. Are you asking if Flex supports it or Youtube app supports it? The app is created and maintained by Google so any issues can be relayed to us, but we also recommend reaching out to them for initial support. Did the search work previously?

@XfinityEthan

Hi! Thanks for your reply.

My question is whether the Youtube App running on Flex supports 2 bytes characters such as Japanese or not.

I've been using Roku, and I can use Japanese to search Youtube channels there.
I recently got Flex for the first time.
I wanted to search Japanese Youtube channels in Japanese like I do on Roku, but the Japanese letters are garbled.

Who should I ask about this issue?

Hi @user_c874ea. Please make sure the YouTube app is updated on the Flex box. Sometimes the updates will cause issues such as that!

Hi, Could do you tell me how to update the YouTube app?

I unplugged/plugged the Flex boxed, but nothing has changed.

Thanks.

So was this fixed? If so, I'd like to know how.

Thank you
