I turn on Any streaming app (Hulu Netflix prime peacock etc.) about 5-10 min into flex crashes and goes back to the home menu. This has been going on for a week.
@MNtundraRET My TV is a 40" Dynex from 2012 that predates putting apps on TVs. I added a cheap sound bar (xmas present, actually), and it does the job for my Blue Ray and my old DirecTV DVRs. But it doesn't do streaming. So the Flex seemed a good way to keep using it and drop my TV accounts. Except for this aggravating hang every 15 minutes, often at the most obnoxious point in an episode. I could upgrade the TV, but TV makers don't provide new apps over time. My newer TV will never get HBO Max or Peacock added to its palette of apps. So the Flex wins on that point as more likely to be upgraded. (I hate contributing working tech to the eWaste stream. I keep using my devices for well over a decade if I can.)
I recall that the Raspberry Pi is based on a SoC targeted at set-top boxes, so now I'm wondering if that could be used for this kind of streaming. It wouldn't surprise me if the Flex used the same SoC internally.
Same problem. Guess I won't wast my time asking for another box since some who've gotten a new box says nothing changed. I'm with everyone else...you get what you pay for. Guess I'll plug my Roku back up.
Hello @user_473eae. Thanks for reaching out to our Forums, we know how frustrating it is to experience issues with the service. Is flex also crashing for you every 10-15 minutes? Have you attempted any troubleshooting steps, if so, what steps have you attempted?

There are a number of them. I use my TV's apps. My brother uses Amazon, or his TV.
