Yahoo email now optional?
I have used a Comcast email address and the email service for too many more years than I can count. It’s never been perfect, but has served my purposes, so I have been annoyed that I would have to go through the transition to Yahoo and all the predictable problems getting it set up to my liking, even though the actual address would not change. So far, thankfully, I haven’t been “invited” to “upgrade.” But it now appears the transition is not required, but only optional, based on the Comcast FAQ section on the transition: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/yahoo-email-migration-overview.
Can anyone official please let me (us) know if this is really true, please? I would love to be able to continue as I always have.

The thought does occur to me that they're ambiguity may mean that - no, you don't have to "upgrade." But if you don't upgrade you'll need another new email provider which would also require a new email address, since Comcast's service is totally disappearing.
I have no idea if that is the case, but we definitely need clarification as to what does happen if you don't upgrade.
