Xfinity Support: Desktop Cannot access email -- via browser, Thunderbird or Outlook -- Ideas?

https://xfinityconnect.email.comcast.net/ -- "This site cannot be reached"

email clients time out .. Outlook error 0x8000CCC0e Cannot connect to the server

email clients connect to gmail, hotmail ... no problems

uninstalled Norton 360, Nord VPN, rebooted
Turned off Windows Defender firewall

also cleared all cookies while working with Xfinity "expert" who was obviously reading help articles that were ... obvious

But ... laptop, phone work over the same network??? !!!

Seems to have started after day long Xfinity upgrades to community network. last message was

Xfinity < [Edited: "Personal Information"]cast.net> ... Prepare for outages ...

Enhancing our Xfinity 10G Network for faster, more reliable speeds

Ironic eh?

Has Xfinity blocked this device in some way?

Ideas?

So extensive debugging and visit by tech who identified it as an "area" problem on the server side blocking access. He lost access to his own account during the visit

... then I installed a VPN ... and access is restored

So clearly Xfinity is blocking access to certain IP addresses on the server network

So progress, but NO, this issue is NOT resolved

@user_x695zf  Can you spoof your MAC address?  You might end up on another subnet that isn't blocked.  You won't be able to if you are using an Xfinity gateway.
