Xfinity comcast.net emails transition to Yahoo
Is there any way to tell when your email is set for this transition? Can we do this on our own prior to reciving the email notice? I have had this emial for over 20 years and do not like the idea of giving it up and having to go through the process of setting up a new one for all my contact, billings, etc.
Thank you

There is an email scam right now claiming to be the Comcast notice to transfer to the new structure! Be careful.

I read xfinity’s online document shown below from their web site
https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/yahoo-email-migration-overview
These two items near the top of the page seem to directly contradict each other.
I’d like to know if I will still have my current comcast.net email address after the move.
And I think Xfinity needs to change the wording or at least why the statements contradict each other.
From paragraph 2 of the web page shown above: You’ll keep the features you love most about
Xfinity Mail when you make the move — including your current comcast.net email address, messages, folders, and contacts.
From paragraph 3 of the web page shown above: Note: Moving to Yahoo Mail will only impact your comcast.net email address. None of your other Comcast services will be impacted.

I was traveling and had Xfinity email issues to work on. I am just learning about migrating Xfinity emails to Yahoo mail. The instructions on how to migrate indicate the following: "To move your Comcast.net email account to Yahoo Mail, just accept Yahoo’s terms of service and privacy policy when prompted."
This may be an "obvious" question, but where to I even find accepting Yahoo's terms of service when prompted? Do I go somewhere on my Xfinity account? If so, where do I find it so I can transition to Yahoo mail.
If it's somewhere on the Yahoo mail sign-up, how do I note that I want to create an account to allow my Xfinity emails to Yahoo mail? If so, please note I have a Yahoo mail account, but I rarely use it. Would I migrate starting there or create a new Yahoo mail account just for Xfinity emails?
Can someone please let me know the exacts steps and where to go to get this process started?

So I think I know the answer, but just to confirm, my email address will remain xxxx@comcast.net even after I am switched to Yahoo? That would be fabulous, because so many important auto-notices and subscriptions are linked to my "@comcast.net" address. So please reassure me my address will remain @comcast.net, and NOT be switched to @yahoo THANK YOU!

Yes. The domain will stay @comcast.net for your email address.

With all of the spam email and texts, I am not comfortable clicking on a link to move my email to a new platform. Will comcast send an official snail mail to verify this is a legit transaction?

To make sure any email from Xfinity is legit, look for the Verified email logo in the message list when using the webmail UI--------------
Verified Email
After the first email telling you the process has begun for your account, there will be another after 30 days. The information being posted in this thread also appears on the Yahoo website-----------------

I have four Comcast email accounts and received this Yahoo email today for one of them, but the link is stopped by Norton as a phishing scam. I am pretty sure I have also received the emails on my other 3 Comcast email accounts, however deleted them as they appeared to be scam mail. A) how do I get them for the accounts I have already received and deleted it from and B) can you show a sample email so I know if the one I have now is legit and I should just bypass Norton to open it?
Even better than all of that, is there a location on my Comcast account I can log in and do it from there. This is for accounts that the email notifications have been sent to already.
